Flu Vaccinations

Get Your Flu Vaccine at Gee’s Pharmacy Starting April 1st!

Stay protected before winter begins with your annual flu vaccine.

We recommend that everyone over the age of 6 months gets a flu vaccination annually. It’s the best way to stay protected from the flu and prevent spreading it to others, especially during the colder months.

Who Needs the Flu Vaccine?

  • Tamaiti (Children): If your child is under 9 years old, consult with your vaccinator to determine if they need one or two doses, spaced four weeks apart, depending on their previous flu vaccination history.

  • Adults: It’s recommended for everyone over the age of 6 months, especially for those with medical conditions, pregnant individuals, and seniors.

What Does the Flu Vaccine Protect You From?

The flu virus (influenza) changes every year, which is why an updated vaccine is essential. The vaccine protects you from the most common flu strains circulating during the season. By getting vaccinated annually, you ensure the best protection against the flu.

Why Is the Flu Vaccine Important?

Even if you’re generally fit and healthy, the flu can seriously affect your health. It can also make tamariki (children) very sick and pose a greater risk to vulnerable individuals such as pregnant people and older adults. By getting vaccinated, you protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community.
